Error message “FAGL_LEDGER_CUST023”(Define a leading ledger)

We use simple finance 2.0 after migrated from ECC 6.0 with new G/L..

After we activated Funds Management(PSM-FM) to implement BCS, we met error message “FAGL_LEDGER_CUST023”(Define a leading ledger) when we generated FI document.

In case of deactivating Funds Management(PSM-FM) , we didn't meet the error message.

According to business requirement, we should use BCS.

How can I fix it?

I activated Funds Management(PSM-FM) successfully.

Now I  execute a budget control test in progress.

The method to fixe my error is that I manually changed the value of “subappl” field in table FINSC_LEDGER from  “GLF” to “PSM” after I activated Funds Management(PSM-FM) .

I don’t know the cause why system don’t change automatically the value of “subappl” field in table FINSC_LEDGER.

Through reporting error to sap, I want to know the cause.

Hey Big Choi,

I think your interpretation of sentence is wrong,

From my understanding it means that PSM-FM approach to Special Purpose ledger and S/4 Finance Universal ledger wont work together.

So SAP in all its release note and documents mentions that JVA, PSM-FM , Lease Accounting wont work with S/4 Finance.

You basically need to choose one of them.

I suggest you can raise this with SAP support and they will also give the response.

It kinda sucks having got the product BOM and licenses and this restriction puts one back to drawing board.

I think that the meaning of the sentence “Components that have been build with FI-SL technology like Joint Venture Accounting, Public Sector etc.

are untouched and work as before.”  is that the data related to public sector are stored in old table, not ACDOCA as before.

I think that funds Management(PSM-FM) should be activated and used for BCS as before in case of simple finance 2.0 (on-premise edition 1503).

I will report the error to SAP.

I find the cause of the above error.

Before we executed migration from ECC 6.0 to simple finance 2.0, Table finsc_ledger didn’t exist.

After migrating, Table finsc_ledger was  newly created .

Before and After activating Funds Management(PSM-FM), table finsc_ledger have “FI” as application value(APPL) and “GLF” as sub application value (SUBAPPL).

But, After activating Funds Management(PSM-FM), system need the data with “FI” as application value(APPL) and “PSM” as sub application value (SUBAPPL) form table finsc_ledger.

How can I maintain table finsc_ledger?

Please go to this node to maintain FINSC_Ledger

In this you assign your company code to the ledger which you want to use

Hey Big Choi,

I think the issue is with the source than the customizing,

PSM-FM is not supported with S/4 HANA Finance and hence I think you are getting the error in Ledger

So you cant activate PSM-FM with S/4 Finance.
