Posting JV with FB50

Hello,

I want to know a quick method of posting a JV using FB50.

I have to post a JV by entering minute details like Profit Segment, Sales Organisation etc

we have created a upload program for Fb01 transaction . THis is more helpful than FB50

Ganesh, for every transaction i enter there are different values to be entered.

To be exact, an GL account asks me for CO assignment - and after i enter it, it asks me to provide Profit Segment details.

I have to enter different details in each line item and hence it takes a lot of time to post a JV.

I can be sure there is some way to post it easily because my collegues onshore can do it no time but they are refusing to answer how this is done!!

Rohit,

If you required to quick method for JV posting through FB50 or F-02 ,

1. You must have details about the transactions with respective line item and every that you will posting,

2. Once you have details you can transaction record T.code = SHDB.

3. After recording you technical field processing in JV .

4.Take help of ABAPers they will create BDC upload program through these you can upload no. of records at one time.

You may try to use Excel sheet and copy data you want and past it in the FB50 .. but be aware of the length of the columns in FB50 and how many fields that it can take.

or use F-02 and click on fast entry and there you can also use functionality of copy from excel file also..

Thanks for your reply.

I have to post a JV by entering data into fields which appear when we double click the account number. For eg: Profit Segment, Profit Centre etc.

I am not sure how to use the copy functionality from excel file. Is it some uploader that you are talking about or simple copy paste.

yes i am talking about simple copy past from excel file .. you have just to arrange the columns in excel like FB50 screen and take the whole columns or part of its as screen permit and past it in excel..

regarding the profit center as my remember its also appears in FB50 main screen .. you may scroll left the check this columns..

Hi,

Do F-02 and FB50 have same financial implications?

Also the fields i require to post are not mentioned in fast data entry. I tried using the option of settings > Input template but i dont see all the fields that i need to enter.

Details of fields that I need to enter are: Profit Centre, Sales Org, Distr, Sales Type, Fin. Posting, Product, Plant etc.

Hi Rohit,

Yes, F-02 and FB50 have same implications. Only difference between the two is that F-02 is multiple screen transaction and FB50 is single screen transaction.
