Change existing BW query datasource to hana view in design studio

Hi All,

we are usinf dsign studio 1.4 sp1.

we are using a dashboard with bw query datasource.

due to performance issue, we have created a query in hana studio same as bex query.

now i need remove the existing bex query and add the hana view.

the problem is i am not able to login simultaniously hana and bo.

in the backend connections i am not able to add hana connection. when i log in business objects.

i can only see bw connctions.

when i logg in hana design studio i cannot save my new dashboard in bO

how can i view hana views in design studio while login with BO design studio.

Hi,

It sounds like you have set up a direct connection to HANA instead of creating it in the BusinessObjects CMC.  This is probably why you can't see HANA connections when you logon to BusinessObjects.

The procedure for creating a HANA connection on the BusinessObjects BI Platform is described in the Design Studio Administrator Guide for the BusinessObjects BI Platform.  You can create either a HANA HTTP Connection which is the recommended approach (Page 29) or a HANA JDBC Connection (Page 31).

After performing the above procedure you should be able to see both the BEx connection and HANA connection after logging into the BusinessObject Platform.
