Number Range to Material Master

Hi,

In SNRO following is my current system status,

One Group for All Material Type and its has a group specific number range. Now i want to create a new group for FERT,HALB and ROH one each with their own group specific number range.

I faced following problems in this processes:

1.     After assigning number range to FERT group i call back the screen and i couldn't see the previously assigned number range and when drilled down the case i noticed the number range what i assigned to FERT was set to HALB. Now HALB has two number ranges.

2.     I couldn't able to move my element ROH-Material type from existing Group to newly created group. Actually i moved once and saved once but when i call back the same screen it was not as i saved.

3.     My Group Text is not stable at some point of time my group text is removed and the group is texted as "GROUP WITHOUT TEXT". This happened in existing group and as well as newly created group.

4.     When i tried to assign external number range for New Groups, i got overlapping error. SINCE external number range A to ZZZZZZZZ is already been assigned to a group. I tried to reduce the length of "Z's" but also i got the same error.

5.     In Number Range Interval Screen i can able to see a Number Range 85000000 to 99999999 but none of the group has this number range, i checked each groups.

Pls see the screen and help me out this is irritating.

Thanks With Regards,

Dinesh V.

Hi,

In MMNR i can able to see the number range for FERT and ROH. But for Material Type - HALB is missing in the list include not assigned area.

what happened to HALB here...?

also to you notice, as i mentioned, in SNRO tcode i created a new Group for FERT and ROH and HALB.

Here whatever number range or changes i assigned to FERT Group, is been reflected in HALB group as if they both have link.

But ROH is fine w.r.t this issue.

Thanks With Regards,

You had assigned the same group to FERT and HALB material type, so the issue.

Create separate groups for FERT and HALB and assign the intervals.

Pls see the screen below...

Tcode SNRO

Group for FERT

Separate Group for HALB where we can see the number range of FERT too...

Group for ROH

Tcode MMNR where HALB is missing.

If i assigned same group for FERT & HALB then it should replicate in these screens know...

Also In all the above screen you can notice NR Status, but actually look at MM60 i created the below materials only, then how this NR Status is get Counted.

Also this NR Status is Editable where i expected this is to be in display(System Generated).

Pls the Material FROM & TO reference range...

Hope i conveyed...

Please read this KBA document 1785208 - Various errors occur during material master number range creation (transaction MMNR)

You may can get a solution from referred OSS notes.

Looks like your material HALB is still not fully configured.

Remove the number ranges of FERT material and reassign the group to HALB material type and check later it will be corrected assigned now.

Hi,

Right Now,

As per in MM01 if create FERT or HALB or ROH it falls within the internal number range. The problem if faced in display of number range like SNRO & MMNR.

However Still cann't able assign external number range for FERT ROH HALB group's since A to ZZZZZZZ is already assigned to another group.

I tried with AAA to ZZZ and AAAAAAAA to ZZZZZZZZ but only getting overlapp error as i mentioned EARLIER.

Thanks With Regards,
