Netweaver Support Pack Upgrade

Hello SAP/Netweaver Team

As we have installed SAP LVM Addon successfully we have started the SAP LVM but further notice it shows that Netweaver 7.30 Support Package to be upgraded,Please help us how to Upgrade the Support Packs for Netweaaver7.30

Is there any alternative for Upgrade Netweaver 7.30 to Support Pack 03 without using Solution Manager.

Please help us can we update support packs using SUM tool

Please provide us the procedure

Hello Pavan,

Strictly by the book you either use Solution Manager MOPZ or Maintenance Planner to create your xml and place the files for your stack in the download basket.

Yes you apply support packages using SUM and it very well documented on SCN amongst other sources.

You'll note in my initial reply I said "strictly by the book".

If you were so inclined you could download the required SP for all of the components on your JAVA stack. Caveat majeur: You take the risk yourself if you end up with a inconsistent system because incorrect SPs were applied or dependencies not properly evaluated or met.

What is stopping you using Solution Manager ?

As we have downloaded with Initial Shipment stack as SP 00 in SMP

You're partly answering your own question.

Support Packages and Patches => A-Z => N => SAP Netweaver => SAP Netweaver 7.3

As I said, you have to assume the responsibility that if you do not build a consistent stack you may break your system. That's your call.

Using SolMan is the way to go but it looks like this is your "personal" system and you don't have access to a SolMan.

It is my personal system and i am doing R&D on that i dont have access to Solman as it is not related to our organization

As you mentioned above i have tried all the things in SMP and started installing using SUM Tool but it is not showing the Correct Support level

Could please provide me any you mail ID that may help me better reaching you

Actually my Netweaver version is Netweaver 7.30 AS JAVA SP 0

But i need to to upgrade for Netweaver 7.30 AS JAVA SP 5

Hello Pavan,

Providing contact details is against house rules for very understandable reasons.

You need to determine the components you have installed by checking on the J2EE sysinfo page and then downloading what's required for 730 SP05.

With the information you collect you should be able identify and download what you need.

Make sure you have a good DB and filesystem backup of your system as you may end up playing with fire.
