Field 'CUOBJ' and 'KFPOS' in Table RESB

Hello All,

There are two fields we can see in Table 'RESB' which are related to configuration of a material, 'CUOBJ' and 'KFPOS'.

Kindly let me know the relevance of both the fields and the difference between them?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Anuj

Hello,

CUOBJ -> Configuration (internal object number) -> This will help you to fetch the configuration data for the material from the sales order ex pass it to  VC_I_GET_CONFIGURATION

KFPOS -> Indicator: "configurable item" -> This will help you to identify if the material is configurable or not, if this is set then the material is configurable else it is not

So if material is configurable and there exists a sales order VC configuration the CUOBJ and KFPOS both will have values, CUOBJ will have configuration instance number and KFPOS will be X.

I hope this helps you.

Hi Ameya

Thanks for the reply.

Actually, I am able to see the cases where the material is not flagged as 'Material is configurable' in material master but it is having object dependencies in the BOM of it's header material. And, this material is having tick in field 'KFPOS' but not having any entry in 'CUOBJ'.

Kindly clarify.
