Hi experts,
I Setup a Scenario for Material A that cosnumes Material A.1 (with activated TSM).
TSM Scenario works fine within that production stage, means that Check-TSM-Activity hook on last Routing steps gives a warning for expired component.
Do I have the possibility to Keep TSM check over the next production stage (planned Material B that consumes Material A with TSM inside)?
Best regards,
Anke
Hi Anke,
Your question boils down to the question whether CHECK_TSM_COMPONENTS hook can check all assembly levels. According to the current design, it cannot. It was discussed some time ago with Product Owners.
You should either move that TSM component from sub-assembly BOM to the top-level BOM or define the sub-assembly Material as TSM too.

Alex, Stuart, thanks for detailed answer.
I'm thinking about a further workaroud: Setup Material A.1 as TSM and Setup material A as TSM. If material A is manufactured (type is still manufacured/purchased), a custom hook assignes remaining time of material A.1 to material A. If materiall B consumes material A the Check-TSM-Hook can work as designed than.
Do you think that should work properly?

As far as I know, the hook only checks immediate child components, not components assembled to subassemblies. So, yes Material B can check for TSM, but only on its direct purchased components.
