install sap bi 4.1 sp5 faills

Hello,

I have installed SAP BI4.1 SP 5 in QUA,PPD, PRD and its works fine I am trying to install a new dev environment but it fails when I access to CMC I don't have all application ( non promotion manager, non version manager...). and when I access to preference It's disabled.

Any suggestion

HI ,

The issue that you are getting is due to the improper installation of the product :

Please follow below steps and it should resolve the issue. :

• Take the fresh machine.

• Installed the MFC update as it is mandatory to install to avoid side by side error using KBA 1902990 - The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect (SideBySide Error Master) and installed the MFC update.

• Made the changes using the KBA : 1952120 - SAP BusinessObjects (XI 3.1 and BI 4.0) Installation pre-requisites.

Please ensure you are doing the changes mentioned in the KBA and then install .

As this is a fresh installation we are giving this option or you can also recreate the Database and first check whether its a Db issue or Installation issue.

Please let me know which option you wanted (Database reset / Fresh Install ).

There are many thing missing in CMC as per the screen short:-

Universe

Connection

User Attribute Management

Multitenancy

Monitoring

Visual Diffrence

Cryptographic key

If possible try repair install.

Best suggestion fresh install with new setup files.

Did you downloaded the new setup file or used the same one for re-installation.?

Yes I donload a new setup and reinstall but always fails

    Some things to check for:

• Go to Server in CMC and make sure all Server are running
• Go to settings to validate the CMS is proper running status
• Go to Task Manager of the BI Platform server to confirm all service running
• Check the Windows Event View log files to confirm NO error's during install
