Moving Transport request from Dev to Prod

Hello,

I think this is the place to put questions on SAP Basis.

I need to moved Transport from dev to prod system in ECC. But I do not have auth of STMS in prod to import TR in prod.

1) one way is to get auth in prod for STMS. I need to know is there any other way to move TR to prod ? I mean I need self auth. I know to some it will not look fair. But I do not have any problemetic intentions ?

Good Morning Pamela,

If really you need transport requert from Developmenr to Production, two ways:

  • If it is any puntual task, maybe the best way is ask it the transport to the responsible of transports.
  • If you need transport a lot of times, the best way isask STMS access to Security Adminsitrator
  • Also, maybe your Basis consultant can to transport it manually.

Im not sure if exist any different way to do the transports, but for security and audit its prefferable that you ask it to the corresponding colleague before find another way to transport anything.
