Optimizer Error

Hi All,

I am getting the attached error on running OPTIMIZE algorithm.  On running the CHECK algorithm, I see some information messages about location source and customer source being missing for certain combination. Would the error be because of these information messages?

Hi Vijay,

One potential reason could be mismatch between length of reference attribute and actual attribute( eg- LOCTO and LOCID). Due to this combination might not get created.

Can you please check this?

Hi Rohit,

I checked the attribute LOCID & LOCTO. Both have length 20. However I found something strange - On the attribute screen, on clicking on attribute LOCID , used in master data type hyperlink - It says Attribute is not used in any MDT (Screenshot below #1. However I see LOCID in my MDT - S55LOCATION (Screenshot below #2)

Will appreciate any thoughts on the same

Hi Vijay,

I think the column is wrapped. Expand the master data column to see where LOCID is used.

Also check if other reference attributes has same length. Eg- LOCDESCR, LOCFRDESCR and LOCTODESCR and so on..

Hi Rohit,

I think you are right, LOCID must be getting used in a lot of MDT. Below screenshot shows 266. I think, because of large number , the pop-up window might not be showing the right message.  I am checking the length of different attributes. LOCID Description and LOCTO Description have different lenghts (40 & 20 resp.). Should I try making them same?

Hi Vijay,

Yes, LOC TO desc should also have same length as Loc description.
