Our company uses SQL Anywhere OEM and have some that are set up with MobiLink to replicate invoice/inventory/accounting (100) tables to a central location creating a Hub and Spoke model. we have just started the process of updating our customers to Sybase 16 ... this change will be about 6 months before most are updated.
Using only one server at each location we have some customers with about 25 locations replicating about every 15 minutes ...
The questions
-How do I determine how many locations we could handle?
-What is the next easiest thing to do to scale up?
Side Question
- when totally updating a large table(30K records lookup table) downloaded from a national company is there a better way to distribute that information besides replication?
