Increase EVDESCRIPTION size in SAP BPC NW

Hi, all!

We are faced with the problem - we need to increase the size of the property EVDESCRIPTION (more than 60) in the ACCOUNT dimension.

We are working with SAP BPC NW 7.4 and we are able to change size of text on a tab "Master data/text" (check "Long text is XL") using RSA1. This allowed us to increase the length to 1333. Then in the table UJA_DIM_ATTR we increase "ATRIBUTE_SIZE" up to 1333 and process dimension.  But we still can't use description more then 60. With other property it works correctly. What could be a reason?

I know that we can create new property with lenght more than 60.

Hi Anton,

How many reports is required to show long descriptions?

if not that many then use excel lookup function and use a hidden sheet for the long descriptions mapping.

But what is the business reason to have so long descriptions? The reports will look not so nice

The idea to have a special property with long description looks better...

Client wants to see in report only descriptions of account. Furthermore, we have to be able to use drill down. As I know if I will use a new property with long description, I couldn't drill clicking on it

I can't imagine the report with so long descriptions... It will take most of screen width
