Functional Location Structure for RE-FX Integration

Dear Experts

My client wants to integrate the functional location structure in PM to the Real Estate structure. Both modules have been implemented separately without taking into consideration the need for linking the structures.The existing functional location structure is as shown on the attachment below and I don't think it makes sense for it to be linked to real estate objects.However,this has been structured taking into consideration the asset register in finance.Please advise on how this can be modified so that it makes sense for integration with RE-FX.
