Issue in displaying the outlier alerts in DP planning book

Hi Experts,

I am experiencing an issue in displaying the outlier alerts in DP planning book. System is throwing ABAP run time error(TIME_OUT) after executing for one hour. I have checked alert table- /SAPAPO/AM_ALERT having some lakhs of entries in that. Assuming this could be reason, I have removed some of the entries through the reorg job, though our macro has the deletion step before generating the new alerts.

Earlier the alerts were getting displayed in few minutes only. But now I still getting the same ABAP dump after performing cleaning activity.

It would be great if someone let me know the reason for this.

Thanks in advance

Thanks,

Mansoor

Hi

Can be please provide the ABAP dump message or screen shot from T-code ST22.

Plesae check if you still have many entries in Alert tables. Please use report /SAPAPO/AMODAL_DELETE to delete data based errors to assure everything gets cleaned.

First you check the alerts in alert monitor before you try to access via planning book.

Hello,

I have checked the ABAP dump and error is time limit is exceeded as the program /SAPAPO/SAPLMCPSH_SEL is exceeding the max.runtime. The current setting of runtime system profile parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time is 3600 seconds. ie.60 min.

/SAPAPO/AMODAL_DELETE this report is not available in our system as this is 5.0 version.

There are still alerts are exist in the table. I am deleting these alerts at system idle time.

Even I have tried from the alert monitor before trying directly from the planning book. But the same case here also. its keep on executing - Alerts are determined in asynchronous tasks....

Hi

Try to clean this table entirely. You can also take the help of Basis team, where they could completely drop the entire table and build the SAP standard index which will improve the overall performance. Once you have deleted all the alerts , execute few alerts and view the data and see if it works.

Thanks
