close periods for Profit Center posting

Dear All.

Is there a way to close periods for Profit Center postings? We just discovered that you can post Profit Center postings even so the CO period via t-code OKP1 is closed.

Thanks for any hint.

Kind Regards,

hansi

    Hi Hans,

There's no possibility to lock periods/ posting transactions in PCA. It is a standard system behavior. However, you can lock them with T-code KE52 and T-code 1KEF.

Go through the below note which has more information.

1700309 - Period lock in Profit Center Accounting is not possible with T-code OKP1

    Hi Hans-Reinhold,

Profit Ctr Acct period end is not governed by OKP1. It goes with the accounts not cost elements. Therefore once you close period in OB52, then the PCtr Acct is considered closed as well.

    Regards,

    Dave
