When do we optimize BW into HANA ?

Hi Experts,

I am a BI/BO  consultant and I am looking forward to work on HANA DB.

What are the prerequisites involved in optimizing SAP BW to HANA? which version of BW is needed and what is the role of BPC in it?

what exactly we need to follow in doing so. your answers and advises would be really helpful.

Shanthan, the option post-BW migration optimization steps (read simplification of LSA accumulated over the years) are in BW362 course and there might be some separate documentation available.

What is key, that it is smarter to do this pre-migration rather than post-migration as suggested by SAP

I will surely look into BW362 but, Could you please elaborate more on pre-BW migration and post-BW migration.

And I need more clarity to understand the integration part of BW (versions), BPC and HANA in simple terms.

Shanthan, what I meant was the "functional" optimization, i.e. streamlining of ETL processes so there is less redundant DSO & Cubes, etc. For the technical tuning and optimizations I would advise to look into the guides of respective versions you are planning on using.
