Error Login SSO Dashboard BO That Using Webi.

Dear Expert,

I have some problems with my Dashboards.

I'm using

- SAP Business Object 4.1 SP5 with Sybase Database (SQL Anywhere 12)

- OS : Windows 2012 R2

- SAP BW Database : Oracle 11

All of my dashboards using SSO (Single Sign On) linked to BW. Dashboard that using Webi in it facing some problem when I access it from different device).

I have try in some device to access it. (I always log in using SAP Authentication)

1. Desktop using browser with flash player --> no problem

2. Desktop preview in mobile version using SAP BusinessObject Dashboards --> there is an error like this

     Error : Cannot Access External Data

               Enterprise authentication could not log you on. Please make sure your logon information is not empty.

3. Android using firefox with flash player --> no problem

4. Android using SAP BI application -->  there is an error like this

     Error : Cannot Access External Data

               Enterprise authentication could not log you on. Please make sure your logon information is not empty.

5. ipad using latest SAP BI application --> there is an error like this

     Error : Cannot Access External Data

               Failed while trying to log on user XXX. RFC error: "Number:000 (USER_OR_PASSWORD_INCORRECT)" (FWM 00013)

     I'm sure that I using the right user and password from SAP BW because I can login with that user in SAP BW using SAP Logon.

but there is a user (YYY) that can access every dashboard with no problem occured.

I have checked this two user (XXX) and (YYY) have same role in SAP BW and same user group in SAP BO. Both of them have full access in BW and in SAP BO.

I hope there is a solution for this problem.

Although this is an old post - just wanted to check, whether you ever got this resolved.

If so, what was the cause and what actions were taken at your end ?

I'm encountering the same issue on the mobile device, however, login to browser (mobile or desktop both) works fine.

Dear Shilpa,

I don't remember about the detail.

But we just change both the connection of the gadget and the connection of the dashboard from the name of the server into the IP address of the server. It just resolve the ipad connection problem.

In android we use firefox browser and flash player plugin.

I some how feel that BW SSO is not working correctly. i suspect that its getting cache for user (YYY)

when you are using other Device are you still using SAP Authentiation to login.?

thank you for your reply.

I have done STS setup before.

I aways use SSO SAP Authentication when using every device (ipad,desktop,android).

I have no problem accessing my dashboards if I use desktop or android (browser + flash player) using user YYY or XXX.

But the problem occur when I use mobile view like ipad, android (with application), and desktop (mobile preview) using user XXX.

There is no problem when I access dashboard without Webi for every device and every user.
