Hi friends,
I just installed a 7.1 solman on AIX/Oracle. Installation manual advises to create production client from 000, but says Java users (J2EE_ADMIN, SAPJFS, etc) are only created at install on mandt 001. Do I have to copy these from 001 using SAP_USER copy profile or does solman_setup create them?
I need to get these users correct before starting solman_setup, since they are crucial to a correct setup. (using dual-stack)
Thanks, regards.
Claudio

You can use 001 as your productive Client for Solution Manager. But in case you have to create a new client then go with profiles SAP_CUST or SAP_USER as per requirement.

Hi Claudio,
It is upto customer requirement whether you need to have a new client or use existing 001 client for solution manager.
SAP has provided documentation/recommendation as below including the options to use if you need to have a new client.
1630984 - Which Client Copy options to use for SAP Solution Manager to create a new Client ?
this should resolve
Thanks

Hi Claudio
There is actually no need to create an additional client. You can use client 001 as productive client in SAP Solution Manager 7.1.
Best regards
