J2EE Administrator p/w resetting frequently

I have installed a J2EE Standalone from the NW2004s DVD's and so far every 3rd login the system is asking me to reset the Administrator password. In the Visual Administrator the checkbox for "No password change required" is checked. Im stumped, can anyone help?

Also, now that I have the standalone - are there any good guides on linking it to the NW2004s SAP system?
