Generate Authorizations Using RSEC_GENERATE_AUTHORIZATIONS

Hello,

I am done with the creating lot of authorization objects (RSECADMIN)and wanted to find, has any one had a chance to execute the transaction RSEC_GENERATE_AUTHORIZATIONS to generate mass authorizations for values or hierarchies??

I read the documentation on help.sap.com to activate the data sources 0TCA_DS01 and 02, but could not grasp the importance and advantage of this transaction and how it works???

Any experiences, blogs or examples or detailed documentation specfic to this transaction is really appreciated.

“Before you get started, here are some tips...”  

1) Activate all business content related to authorizations before you get started

InfoObjects: 0TCA* (and 0TCT* if not done already)

InfoCubes: 0TCA*

2)Set the following InfoObjects as "authorization relevant"

0TCAACTVT

0TCAIPROV

0TCAVALID

0TCAKYFNM

3) Add 0TCAIFAREA as an external hierarchy characteristic to 0INFOPROV
