We have HR integration turned on and using the org. structure replicated from HR in R/3. By turning the HR integration on we can no longer manually create users via transaction users_gen. I'm wondering if there is a way to create users in the org. structure after HR integration is turned on? We have several contractors that we would like to give the capability to shop but since they are not in the HR Org. structure we have no way of adding them to the Org. structure in SRM.

Hi Shawn,
Try editing table T77S0 in SM30 and add this entry
Group: HRALX
Sem.abbr: PBPHR
Value abbr: Create

Hi Shawn,
We have a similar situation. Only our HR team creates the contractors as part of teh org structure. To ensure that only those contractors or temp workes that we want to replicate to SRM we have made it a rule that non-employees who are maintained in the HR system do not have an address associated with their BP. Additionally we ensure that their user accounts if and when they are created are devoid of a shopping role until such time as an issue is raised with our security/compiance team to have a role added.
I hope this helps.

Tom

Hi,
Please go through SAP note: -550055 and 402592
Edit table cust_object and create user through users_gen or locally
after application of note 550055 for table T77SO
Reward suitable points if the answer is helpful

Hello,
having the same issue.
We are solving it by turning off the HR integration, create users with users_gen transaction, and that process IDOCs via BD87 which come from HR system in the meantime.
Normally we have integration on, and turning it off just in special cases.

Hi Shawn,
In addition to the setting of the switch mentioned before you need to implement the following note as well (if you are on SRM 4.0 that is...).
Note 876186 - EBP 5.0+: USERS_GEN locked when CUA is active

Paula-
Thanks for your reply. I tried what you suggested but users_gen is still giving me the same message "Action not possible, HR/ALE or ZBV distribution is active".

Bertrand-
Yes this config has been done. We initially brought the system up with a manual org. structure so all users were created via users_gen. Once we turned on the HR integration, the users_gen transaction ceased to work.
The old number range is still there and valid. We're also using central user administration. Is there any way to add a user to the org. structure that is not an "employee" in the HR org. structure.

Shawn
