SLT with MSSQL as target

Hi Experts,

We're in the process of setting up the SLT with ECC as source system and MSSQL as target. In the configuration of SLT, we could only select 'HANA' as the Database system in the 3rd step of specifying the target system though we can see the other Database in the dropdown but this dropdown is disable so we can't change from HANA to MSSQL.

Is there anything we need to do in order to enable this dropdown so we could select the other Database ?

When you have all required roles (the admin role) assigned to the user then it is a bug and you should open a ticket.

In my system it is working.

It seems a bug. I've the admin role but still it's showing the same way. I'm going to open a message with SAP. Btw do you have any doc for this scenario where ECC is the source system for SLT and non abap (like mssql in our case) is the target system.

This is not a bug.

You need to change the following entry in the table DMC_RT_PARAMS:

PARAM_NAME = REPL_ENABLE_OTHER_TARGET

PARAM_VALUE = X

Though keep in mind we do not officially support non-ABAP source to non-ABAP target if the traget is not HANA.  So you will do this at your own risk.

Hi Rb,

There are no specific settings for target DB- MSSQL. Its same as HANA or Oracle.

Just need to provide DB Connection and schema Name while configuaring.

we did it,  when we trigger the initial load a table in LTRC,  creates, generates and calculates well. but , it doesn't write the data into the target table, says system failure, table is unknown in the logs.

on the SQL, the target table is created w/o data.
