Hi Krishna,

Dispatcher trace file shows Dispatcher dying because all work processes died:
*** DP_FATAL_ERROR => DpWPCheck: no more work processes
*** DISPATCHER EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN ***

Check further information that should be given on WP0 trace file (ded_w0 can be found under DIR_HOME folder) at same timestamp (Sat Feb 04 20:31:43 2017).
If more analysis is needed, please attach trace file.

Regards,
Raquel

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your time and brief here.

I will follow the step which has been mentioned by you and this error has occurred first time to me.

Somehow, I am learning SAP now, so it is obvious that I might have done some mistake in SAP MMC or with server connections etc...

Let me cross check once again and will update the same here.

If possible provide solution/possiblities by step info like; step1--> step 2 ---> and step 3 and so on.. If possible (these steps may helpful for a newbie here) !!!

Thanks,

Krishna

Hi Krishna,

First off, I changed the primary tag of your question to "SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP," as it's clear you are talking about an ABAP system.

It is very obvious from your screenshot that your application server is down (see the yellow status in your SAPMMC), and this is the reason for the "connection broken" error from your SAPGUI. SAPGUI cannot connect to the server if it's down. As an aside, SAPGUI 710 has been out of support for many years -- you should consider upgrading to SAPGUI 740. It is backwards-compatible to all currently supported ABAP application server releases (and many that are no longer supported).

The real question for you here is why is your application server down. You should be able to find out more by investigating the work process traces. For instance, expand the tree shown in your SAPMMC until you find the disp+work.exe process, which will likely be either grey (down) or yellow (starting or in error), and right-click it and choose Developer Trace. Investigate that log file for clues (probably marked "error") about what went wrong.

If it's not the disp+work process, it might be another, such as msg_server.exe. Same thing applies.

Very likely you will be able to find the reason for yourself. If it's not immediately obvious, you can probably search the forums based upon error messages you see in the traces, and you'll find hints for further troubleshooting. And please do search before simply posting back here with the error, as chances are you have not encountered a brand new error never seen before. When you find the cause and you solve your problem, let us know how you solved it here, as that will then help everyone in the future with the same problem.

Cheers,
Matt
