Hi experts,
The serial number issue is seems to be very strange.
Number range has been maintained only for equipment category " S".
Equipment number range interval : From number : 000000000000000001 to ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ number. and it has Flag ed for External number range.
I have attached the Serial number profile.
Users are working with serial number long time.
User has enter 2 serial numbers OE-30037979-04-001 and OE-30037979-04-002 during Production order XXX1 release, System allowing to us release. They are using so often. No issue. They are often using similar kind of serial number nomenclature
But when user has created another production order XXX2(recently).Entered 2 serial number OE-30037979-01-001 and OE-30037979-01.-002 and released the production. While saving the production order, System is throwing the below error message.

Hello,
In IQ01 have you created Serial Numbers?
Check by Creating serial numbers directly in t-code IQ01 or IQ04.
Remove the check box from Indicator: Serial Number Existence Requirement in OIS2 for
the particular serial no profile that is assigned in the work scheduling view of the material master.

Hello,
The checkbox ExtReq. if marked signifies that the serial numbers must be precreated to be used.
OIS2 for Serializing procedure PPAU & PPRLuse Serial usage 02 & 04 respectively.
Try by running the RISTEQ03 standard report to correct the missing status objects for serial numbers and equipments.

Hi Rupesh,
Sorry for late reply. The root cause of the issue was serial level '1' not maintained in material master by user. They are maintaining material levels 1 for Serialized materials. We have maintained it and system allowed us to maintained serial number.
Issue is resolved. Closing the thread.
