problem opening file in team folder

Hi all,

we have a problem accessing data files stored in a team folder. When trying to open a file to import the contents into BPC we get this error message:

This only happens with files in one team folder but for all users in that team.

Has anyone seen this before?

I would check for invalid / non-printing ASCII characters in the file names / folders, etc.

A similar issue is described in SAP note 1955000. It was related to character 0x19. In you case it seems to be 0x1f the Unit Separator https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASCII#ASCII%5Fcontrol%5Fcharacters

Not sure but just check team and user in security . Whether the users are assigned to correct team.

Hi Shrikant,

yes, the users are correctly assigned and the team is set up with the same task profile as other teams, only different data access profile (different entities). And we have no problems with other teams/folders.

Hi Arnold,

Copy the same file in different team and try to open the file. If you are getting same error then problem should be in the data file.
