Hi,

I'm a new hire and have been assigned operational Support for BPC 7.5.  After much digging I found the following list of documentation:

https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000726400&_SCENARIO=011000358700000002...

SBOP Plan & Consol 7.5 M Starter Kit Data Entry Guide.pdf

SBOP Plan & Consol 7.5 M Starter Kit Installation Guide.pdf

As a new hire with no prior BPC experience; if I'm going to read all the documentation, in which order should I be going through all of this.

Hi Jon,

If you are the technical contact then you should go with the install documentation first, then the materguide and operations.

If you will be helping the users within the application with functionality then you should consider taking a class.  However please note that the BPC 7.5 version falls off mainstream maintenance in March. You guys should consider upgrading to BPC 10 or 10.1.

Thanks,

April

Thanks April,

I will be filling the technical contact role.  The plan is to do 7.5 for this season and then perform a new 10.1 setup for next year.

I have looked into classes for 10.1.  We're specifically on the "Microsoft Platform".  Do you know if there are on-site courses whereby I can attend the relevant technical contact courses (perhaps with certification) for 10.1, in series.

What I've been able to ascertain so far is that BPC420 and BPC440 look like they would be a good fit for me.

Thanks again,

Jon

Hi Jon,

My apologies on the delayed response. I am not sure about the on site courses you may want to speak with someone on the SAP education team about that to see or maybe your SAP AE to let them know you would like some training.

Thanks,

April
