Unable to schedule DB backup in DBACOCKPIT using sybase

Dear Experts,

I am having problem to schedule DB backup in DBACOCKPIT using Syabse.

In the wizard below, I cannot click schedule as recurring action.

I can only click start immediately. It is really strange

Please help.

Hi,

you can Schedule it , Select the Recurring option and Proceed

Please select the Back up action/SQL

, are you getting any error,

Hi Sroy,

I could not select recurring action radio button.

Even Menu 4.recurrence also is gray out

Is it bug?

I choose Database dump>start immediately (because I could not choose Recurring Action)

Then, when I want to enter Dump configuration, nothing appears

I click continue, then error prompts:If no backup configuration presents, select Manua.

But the problem is I could not select Manual radio button

Please check your database is configured correctly.  which version of Kernel , Can you Please send me the System Status Log screen shoot

Hi Iqbal

Before scheduling the backup job, Have you created the backup file system to store the dumps? Kindly refer the SAP Note .

1588316 - SYB: Configure automatic database and log backups

and then do the schedule. as mention in the SAP KBA

Hi SS,

I already configured dump configuration as per SAP Note  1588316 - SYB: Configure automatic database and log backups

Then I restarted SAP and Sybase services. But still, option 4 Recurrence is gray out.

Could you share your SAP system version details? and also check this SAP Note 1605680 is applicable on your version?

It is SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP13

Since it is running on SAP Basis 702, I have checked that SAP Note 1558958 is completely implemented

From SAP:

Dear customer
This issue should be solved if you update to the latest Unified Rendering version. Please read the following Wiki on how to perform the version update:

Before applying, you should check if your SNOTE is up-to-date.
If you have memory warnings - such as TSV_NEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED - during the process of applying the UR notes, see note 1563641 for resolution.
Once all the notes are applied, make sure that you delete the server and client cache according to the last screenshot of http://goo.gl/4XnNf.
After the update please run report WDG_MAINTAIN_UR_MIMES in transaction SE38 and attach the result to this message.
