Design Studio 1.5 SP2 Bookmark security setup in BO CMC :

Hi All,

BO version : 4.1 SP4 patch2

Design Studio : 1.5 SP2

We have a requirement to implement security in Design Studio Bookmarks level in CMC as regular folders in BO. Have any one come across this same requirement, if yes please let me know the best way to do it.

Currently when I was able to create  Folders structure at bookmark location as expected like regular folder. When I try to provide the access to root folder level, it works. But if try to provide specific folder which are created in book marks place in CMC, is not having an option security on each individual folder except root folder.

Here is what I was trying to do. Please let us know if anyone has the solution, if not will have to go SAP

1. After login to CMC>>Applications>> right click on Design Studio Runtime

2. When I am looking at high level, the security option available, but there is no restriction on each folder wise as regular folders in BO.

3. I have created sub folder as BI Reporting >> FTM.. but these folders have no security option.

Regards,

Pulendar Vadde

Hi Pulendar,

I wonder if this could be a CMC security issue associated with your user ID?  In my case, I definitely see a security option for bookmark sub-folders in my system as shown below:

Yes, Mustafa. This is what I want to see. But may I know which version BOE you use?

We are on BO 4.1 SP4 Patch2 with Design Studio 1.5 SP2.

I have logged on as Admin, still could not see this option.

Hi Pulendar,

I am running Design Studio 1.5 SP01 on BO 4.1 SP06.  Perhaps you need to upgrade to see the sub-folder security option?

Mustafa.

You are correct Mustafa. At least 4.1 SP5 should be fine, because one of my Sandbox has 4.1 SP5 where I could see sub-folders security.

Thank you for your reply.

Power Users or IT team will create Bookmarks report for Users, so that they can access based on

their access.

Is there a way to restrict the no. of bookmarks display based on their bookmarks folders.
