Material without HU somehow got into HU-IM storage location, now I can't get rid of it

Hello SAP Gurus,

I'm having a really hard time with this material. I've got 453.6 kg of material in a storage location that is IM-HU managed. Somehow and someway, this material got into this storage location without a handling unit and now I can't get it out.

HU02 won't allow me to pack it into an HU while in this storage location (I get the error "

Storage location AC06 is HU-managed. Entry not possible")

I've tried just about every movement type under the sun (311, 313, 502, 551, etc.) to try and get this material scrapped, removed, or moved to another SLoc so that I can do a 502 movement or otherwise get rid of it, but I keep getting the same error, "No HUs have been transferred for material" because whenever I try to pack this material, it won't let me (the bottom table can't be selected)

I will say, this material was brought into our system with a 561 movement type, but they've blocked our access to using 561/562 about a month ago.

Any help is gladly appreciated

Inventory count out of this location and into the one you want the material in?

What do you mean by bottom table can't be selected? Is there an error message? Looking at the screen shot, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.

      Hello again sir!

I tried to do inventory count with MI01 but I get the following error (the inventory count starts off with MI01, right?)

Sorry, what I mean by bottom table can't be selected is that if the material doesn't automatically pack when I put in an HU number, I have to highlight the first row of the bottom table and the row with the handling unit, then press the pack button. That's what I meant

HUINV01 - See Creating a Physical Inventory - Handling Unit Management (LO-HU) - SAP Library

For automatic packing to work, you need a bunch of master data setup which you probably don't want to do for a material that does not belong in a HU managed location. So, what you are describing is manual packing. Go ahead manually pack it and get it out!

Sorry sir, I must have spoken incorrectly somewhere. HU02 doesn't work in this situation for the storage location that the material is in. Here's the error I get

    Hi Bruce,

The problem that you cannot pack the material into a HU in the HUM location, is a standard system behavior. As this is a HU managed storage location, you cannot pack the stock into a HU. Normally it has to be packed in a partner location which is not under HU management and then moved into the HUM location.

And in this case, it seems you're facing an inconsistency. Could you please confirm if the material is now in a HUM location, but isn't in a HU now? If yes, you may raise an incident to SAP to report this situation. And SAP can help to check it further.

    Thank you,

    Hello Bruce,

This seems to be inconsistent with the configuration setting in the system. Your plant & storage location are HU managed but the stock is sitting in the storage location without HU.

The best possible suggestion what I can give in this situation is to raise an OSS message to SAP if it's for the production system and they must be able to remove this stock from the system.

As the stock which was created in the storage location is not correct, so why system allowed to create stock in HU managed storage location without HU at first? SAP will either do it themselve or will give you some OSS note.
