SAP BPC 10 METADATA CACHE CANNOT BE REFRESHED AND NEED TO REFRESH EVERYTIME

Hi Experts,

I have a really urgent problem. I am using SAP BPC 10 Netveawer version with EPM 10.0 SP24 .NET 4 version in my PC. I made reports and authorization for cost center in this report. For example, a user only authorized for Cost Center A. When he opens the report, he sees all the cost centers in the repor that ADMIN saves before. But when I look the context of the report, I only see the correct one(Cost Center A). You can see from attached file.

Then I realized that, when I refresh metadata cache, It has been okay. But every time, when user enter to report, he sees wrong thing. As a solution, I have tried following actions,

-I used UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE from se38-doesnt work

-I did it, in BPC and save report again.-doesnt work.

Do you have any ideas, what should I do.

Looking forward to here from you.

Can

Hi Can - We recently just upgraded to EPM 10.0 SP24 .NET4 version as well, while at the same time having just applied support packs - BPC 801 SP12.

We also are seeing some behavior that seems to be related to the accessing the metadata correctly.

We have some member selections that are filtered based on a property value and a couple users are unable to pull the data back for that report based on those member properties.  Clearing/refreshing the metadata does not seem to help.

I do not have the issue on my machine, but when this user logs onto my machine the problem occurs again.

Did you ever get any resolution to this?

Thanks-

Melody

Hi Melody,

Please open a new discussion and provide screenshots to illustrate and reproduce the issue.

I suspect security issues, but without clear explanation I can't help.

Hi Vadim -

I thought security as well but the same profiles are assigned to the 2 different users.

I have a document with details but cannot attach it here and cannot use any copy/paste functionality on this forum.  Is that expected behavior in SCN?

Thanks-

Melody

As additional update to this, we found that it seemed to be corrected after running the UJXO_CLEAN_CACHE program which then allowed users to refresh their metadata cache.

Ups, not clear: "he sees all the cost centers in the repor that ADMIN saves before"

For sure if the report is saved with all cost centers then when user open file everything will be seen by user!

Look on the sheet option "Clear Data on the Whole File when Saving it"

Thanks for your reply. But it is not about the data. The user is restricted by the data access profiles to see 10001000101 Cost Center. When user open report from from BPF, Report is automatically refreshed everytime.  I try to mention my problem more clearly on the attached file.

Thank you

And how the row axis is defined for this report?

It was defined as context only. The problem is there. However, when user refresh metadata, the report works correctly but user must not have to do that.

Hi Can,

Earlier you said that when user opens report from BPF it auto-refreshes; hear you say that user has to refresh the report. Can you please clarify that?

Thank you,

Hi Can,

tick this box under sheet options, refresh tab, clear data in the while file while saving it.

also enable refresh data in while file while opening.
