Complex WF requirement

Hi All,

We are running on SRM 4.0.I need to configure a workflow wherein the event for workflow is in R/3 and the Workflow would be in SRM.My req is that once the Goods Reciept(MIGO)is done in R/3,the worklfow should trigger in SRM wherein a mail should be sent to the Requestor who created the Shopping Cart.Als,After the Confirmation is given by the requestor,the INvoice should be created in R/3.

Can anyone Please suggest whether this is possible through Alert Managemnet or I need to create my own WF?
