CJ20N - Auto Derivation of Settlement Rule

Hi Experts,

I need auto derivation of specific Cost Center under Settlement Rule, based on Project Profile selection.

Hi Zain,

This is absolutely possible.

Follow the below process:

1- Create the project standard template.

2- you can keep responsible cost center field blank in template.

3- Create the settlement rule strategy (as per overhead project)

4-Assign this settlement strategy to settlement profile and then assign this settlement profile to project profile.

5- Make responsible cost center field is mandatory input field via OPUK.

6- There has to be responsible cost center at every WBS level (you can do it by substitution as well).

7- Run CJB2 and generate settlement rule for project. and check CJ20n there would be a settlement rule generated for every project.

One way of doing this (without enhancement) is:

1.  Create project templates with the correct Cost Center and Project Profile combinations and have the cost center in the WBS Responsible Cost Center field.

2.  Have the users only create projects from these templates.

3.  Use standard Settlement rule strategy to automatically create settlement rules to the Responsible Cost Center.
