Split COGS account when revaluation actual costing closing

Dear SAP Expert.

I have problem to split COGS revaluation value after CKMLCP actual costing closing, since I use SAP simple finance 2.0, I cannot use Costing based COPA thus use Account Based COPA. When I posting delivery consumption for finish product, system cannot split COGS value fit to my cost component structure and I have made the correct customizing:

So when I do goods issue for sales order system post and split COGS account based on customizing and transfer to COPA correctly:

But when I do CKMLCP actual costing closing, COGS revaluation only hit for one account that is HPP/COGS parent not split based on cost component structure.

Why when do actual costing closing system not split COGS value based on cost component structure, I think I’ve do the correct Customizing and there is no other customizing needed.

Hi Luiz,

All your customization is correct and working as expected. However SAP Simple Finance 2.0 is still does not support COGS split Actual Costing Closing. Hence revaluation of consumption posted as single component only.

Further, you can still use costing based COPA along with account based COPA in simple finance 2.0 to make use of this functionality. you can activate both accounting based and costing based COPA as well.

SAP is planning to release new version including this feature in SFIN 3 version.

Hi Santosh,

I was submit this issue to SAP global support and still not solved, I was read at SAP forum said sap simple finance does not yet support for costing based COPA, I was test too with copa costing based all posting from billing not post to COPA costing based, only account based update.

is there any solution?

Hi..

In case of costing-based co-pa, you can transfer COGS revaluation value  through t-code KE27(period valuation) after material ledger closing.

Simple finance 2.0 continue to support KE27(periodic valuation) for costing based copa.

thanks for your answer, Yup i know if I work with costing based it is no problem with update the actual cost, I can split Actual cost after CKMLCP closing via KE27, but since simple finence 2.0 does not yet support costing based copa so i didn't customize that.

I was testing too, when I post billing, sales and COGS value did not update to COPA costing based although all customize condition type was assigned to value field, billing only update to COPA account based.

is there someone have problem same with me? is it possible to post copa costing based with simple finance active?

Hi..

I use simple finance 2.0 and costing-based CO-PA now.

To transfer actual cogs to costing-based CO-PA’s value fields, you should do customizing job using IMG menu(Controlling->Profitability Analysis->Master Data->Valuation).
