component based alerts not triggering

Hi,

I have configured component based alerts as per Michael blog.

I see my job is getting scheduling without any error but without alerts. I have made my target directory wrong and so receiver channel failed and now message is in system error status. However I dont see any alerts to my mail. Job log is succesfully completed with 0 alerts.

in Java SMTP configuration I just gaven mail.google.com and my mail id....

Request you to suggest on this. We are on single stack.

Make sure the consumer ID ALERT-TO-MAIL is assigned to your Alert Rule in ID.
