Hello,
We are trying to setup a multilevel heuristic for a product in PPDS. The reason behind this is that the production planners are making changes on the finished product level and they want this changes to be visible on the same day on the raw material/packaging level for the purchasing department.
At this moment we are using /SAPAPO/CDPSB0 - Production Planning Run transaction for the total plant planning with two steps: SAP_PP_020 and SAP_MRP_001. Planning procedure on the product master is set to 2.
We have tried setting the PP planning procedure to 4. This has lead to some products not getting planned due to recursion errors during the SAP_MRP_001 heursitic run. This error is due to the situation that we have multilevel BOMs with same packaging material on the different BOM levels. The heuristic encounters this materials multiple times and gives an error.
We do not see planning procedure 3 to be feasible due to large number of product (>1000).
We would greatly appreciate any input.
Best Regards,
Hrvoje
We have changed the low level code determining heuristic to ignore cycles and set the strategy profile to scheduling infinity (it was set to terminate). Planning procedure is set to 4. The users are testing this solution.

Hello,
Have you tried using SAP_PP_022 Multilevel planning of individual orders.
This heuristic enables you to carry out multilevel planning of an order, taking into account the low-level codes.
The system uses the heuristic that you have assigned in the Heuristic Settings for Multilevel Planning.
If you are changing any master data for finished product then try to use below heuristic
SAP_PP_021 New explosion
