How to Pass Blank/Empty Date to Webbi prompt?

Hello,

I have a query in webbi and I want it to have two prompts:

1) show dates > the date entered, easy enough.

2) Also show all records that do not have a date populated. How do I pass a blank/empty date via the date prompt in webbi?

Source is a BEx query. These parameters will be filled and report launched from an opendoc URL via Dashboards.

Thank you!

Gary,

Have you tried having two query filters with OR, one capturing the date entered and other having the condition as date is null.

This would satisfy both the requirements.

How do you make the date null though? That's what I can't seem to figure out. It seems like it should be something simple...

Gary,

After you add the date into the query filter, you have to select the operator as "Is Null".

See the below screenshots

Hope this helps.

ah I think this will do it. I'll mark as correct when I get a chance to test it tomorrow, thank you!

It appears that when using BICS there is no "is null" operator available... and even MORE annoying is that I can't change the "And" to an OR
