Hi all,

I have Made customization for NPD as BOM Usage 2 i.e (engineering/design) i have  maintained all the entry  & checked all entries related to PP is OK , when we r making Subcontracting PO components are not determining ,

i have checked by creating BOM  for a same material as usage 1... subcontracting PO it determining the BOM components , every thing is fine...

please Can anyone tell-me wt entry i  need to maintain to determine bom component

First check in OS38 which alternative is assigned to your plant.

Then find all entries for this alternative in OS31 and see if your BOM usage 2 is among them

in OS38 plant maintain with selID 1, OS31 already maintained with proper data...

I would really like to believe you, but the experience of 10 years in SCN made me suspicious and unfortunately you have the issue in your system, so it would be better to tell what you have instead of saying " OS31 already maintained with proper data"

Please find the screen shoot,of OS31 , BOM Usage 2 (design/engineering)

BOM Usage 1 i.e (production) is OK nowhere we are getting problem , when i tried to map BOM usage 2 for our NPD i.e (new part development) getting struck in subcontracting PO level.  if the parts are produce only IN HOUSE we can make invoice,Problem with subcontracting PO Because of this we are unable to send material to vendor, Please help me Out if any Customization entry in Missing.

check the OSS note 205454 - Documentation on subcontracting, there is a pdf documentation attached with real good info, also check OSS note 13023 - Why was a BOM not exploded?

Did you Maintained item category L in The subcontracting Purchase order.

Everything is fine with PP Point of view. nowhere getting struck in BOM explosion  & MRP . Problem with Subcontracting PO components are not determining  in PO level.. & Error Msg no ME154
