Reg: Proxy host in SOAP Channel

Hi Guys,

I'm changing the Proxy host in one of our SOAP Receiver channel in SAP PI 7.4

But after this change, I'm getting error like 'Failed to open the connection to the URL...'  It was working fine before i change the proxy host.

I'm using the same user id to connect the target url with old/new proxy host. Does it require any kind of System/ Adapter restart to make this change effective?

Hi Senthil,

System / Adapter restart will not be necessary here. There can be a probability that the host name is not correct or maybe the host is not opened for the mentioned port. Please check if there details are correct and also you can request for a telnet if there is any current issue with the URL.

It shouldn't need a restart. Try with the proxy IP once. If even that doesn't work, then I would assume that the connection between the proxy and the web service which you are trying to reach is broken.
