Query to ftp server. SAP BI 3.5

Dear All,

I have a requirement to transfer query output to ftp server location.

I tried using APD but the problem is here we also need description (company code,costcenter etc total six fields). If for one fields we can use the text table and get the result but for all six it would not fine to add all the text tables ( we need to get this all in one file , it can't be possible with APD).

I think there is a option to place the query output to ftp server location like we need to create a variant and the place it in process chain).

Can someone please suggest me how to go further.

What would be the best option.

@KMR i had checked but Broadcast there is no option to send the output to a location I can send to the distribution list (mail id) or the portal.

Hi All,

We can use the option Data base table to solve this issue. We had taken a query and attached the 6 master data tables to it.

Like query attached with database table(options --> data sources) then connected it to a connection(transformations) option then again we had taken another database table(option --> data source) and we connected both the connection(transformations) and database table (data sources) to another connection so on... and then we had taken a hidden fields (transformations) option to sort the field places then taken filter (transformations) as per our requirement and then the file(data targets) option to place in AL11 folder. Then I created a process chain for this APD.

Because our query having dynamic filter I had created a variant for the query and used it in APD.

By any chance did you tried Broadcast as it is in BW 3.5
