Query Prompt is Greyed out

Hi Expert,

I have created an dashboard based on BEx query, in which the user will select the input for fiscal year and posting period in combo box and it will be passed to prompt in query browser. But while I am trying to select an cell for this selection in excel it seems to be greyed out. but when I remove the Cost Centre Hierarchy I could able to use the fiscal year and posting period prompt without any issue.

so could you please suggest an solution.

Hi Ramesh,

This is a known limitation with query browser on bex query.

If we have a BW variable as well as a prompt defined at the dashboards level then we have an issue in binding to excel and is grayed out.

Either we can have filtering done at BW or at Dashboards level but not at both.
