Hi all
We have a scenario where we produce a product in house. This is then sent to a subcontractor (along with packing materials) to pack into a multipack format.
(that is, the factory produces tins of peas for example. The external subcontractor then packages these tins up as three-packs.)
The multipack product and the component product are both planned in APO. The packing materials are ECC planned.
We do however have stock reporting that we drive out of ECC.
This all plans correctly in APO and we see the subcontract orders and their relevant demand on the component product and the resulting SNP planned orders to produce the component. All looks correct in APO.
In ECC we see the purchase requisition to procure the multipack product from the subcontractor, and the dependant requirements on the non-APO planned components. We also see the production of the component products. What we are missing from ECC is the dependant demand on the APO planned component product.
The purchase requisitions to procure the multipack produt show a bill of materials that doesn't include the component (although the BOM in ECC for the multipack product DOES include the APO planned component product).
Does anyone have any idea what we are missing here?
Thanks,
-Andy
Hi Andy,
Did you ever solve this issue. I think I have exactly the same problem.
Subcontracted item planned in APO SNP. BOM Contains a mixture of Products planned in APO and Packaging materials planned in ECC. The Purchase Req for the final product generated in APO is passed to ECC. But when we look at the components only the non APO Planned Components are displayed. If we force a BOM Explosion in the req or when converting to Purchase order the APO components get added but why do they not appear already?
Would be very interested to find out if you were able to solve this issue.
Thanks
