    Hi,

What you are experiencing is NOT a bug but default behaviour of Webi since beginning.

Save As/Schedule to CSV will give the raw data of data providers; whereas, Save As Excel/PDF/Txt will give the report data.

I checked on XI 4.1 SP5 and option to schedule to "Plain Text" is available. Please see below:

So, I would suggest you to upgrade to XI 4.1 and check.

As a workaround, you can try scheduling reports to Excel and can convert the .XLS files to .CSV files using VBA macros. Below link might help:

    Hello Thirupathi,

If i correctly understood your question then you want whatever data comes in reports should be in CSV File and not what columns (Dimension\Measure) you select in Data Provider.

Going with above assumption, let me tell you CSV output format always work on Data Provider and not report output like other Output format. So CSV output is not good option for your requirement. You have to go with Plain Text format, which you said not available with 4.0.

So either select only columns used in Report Structure, in Data Provider OR you have to upgrade to higher version of BO.
