Hi ,

I am drawing the logical model that contains many to many relationship between few tables.

I have checked the logical model relationships and found only one to one, one to many and many to to one relationships . There is no many to many relationship.

I need to draw many to many relationship.

Please find the below screenshot for  reference.

How can i achieve this in the logical model..

Thanks & Regards,

Venkata Ramana Paidi

Hi,

Many-to-many relationships are disabled by default in the LDM. To enable them, select Tools > Model Options and check the "Allow n-n relationships" checkbox on the "Model Settings" page.

For more info, see Setting CDM/LDM Model Options.

A couple of related points for you, in case you're not aware of them:

  • You can get PD to convert the many-to-many relationship (in fact, any relationship) to an entity - just right-click the relationship in a diagram or the Browser, and select 'Change to Entity'.
  • If you generate a CDM or LDM from this model, and you don't want many-to-many relationships to be converted into an entity, you'll need to make sure the target model allows many-to-many relationships - click on 'Configure Model Options' on the Details tab of the model generation wizard.
