Planning in Web-Excel is impossible on some clients

Hi all,

On Some User-pc used for planning, planning by web excel format is impossible. The Office web component is read only,

so: planning, export in excel and formulas are deactivated. I have verfied that problem occours only on some clients, perhaps is dued to internet explorer settings. OWC version is the same for all pc, but problem occours only on some of them.

Hi vincenzo :D... I'm omitting simple passages (NOTE 632333), I suppose you well know...

If it is a problem with excel version, as I suppose, 738344 Note could help you..

Some clients could have not all patches....

Symptom

There are MS Office Web Components 2003 (OWC) installed on the end-users computer. Planning web interface with Excel OWC does not show any planning layout but a message "Planning layout is not available".

Reason and Prerequisites

Excel OWC 2003 is not compatible with Excel OWC 2000.

Solution

The end-user is able to use Excel OWC 2003 by applying of this note. The note must be applied manually.

Apply SEM-BW 3.1B SP25, SEM-BW 3.2 SP20, SEM-BW 3.5 SP16 or SAP_BW 3.5 SP04 and regenerate the Web Interface (ta BPS_WB).

Only for SEM versions: Or apply the correction manually and regenerate Web Interface (ta BPS_WB).

To apply the correction manually (only for SEM versions):

Edit the view LAYOUT.HTM in the BSP-Application SEM_UPWB (ta SE80) and replace the complete code with the code from the attachment layout.txt.

Edit the view LAYOUT2.HTM in the BSP-Application SEM_UPWB (ta SE80) and replace the complete code with the code from the attachment layout2.txt.

Edit the fragment JS.HTM in the BSP-Application SEM_UPWB (ta SE80) and replace the complete code with the code from the attachment js.txt.

Regenerate the application (ta BPS_WB).
