How to hide detailed navigation for some roles ?

Hello All

I would like to hide the DTN panel for some of the roles in our portal, its 7.4 SP11. The role structure is Role - Workset - Pages/Views

I am using the Ajax Framework Page

For the iViews/Pages, the property 'initial state of Navigation Panel " is set to Always Close.

But still the navigation panel appears. Is there any other settings to be maintained?

Hi Aakash,

we have the same issue. We also have 7.40 SP11. I think this is a bug. But this is not important enough to us to open an incident yet.

• If DTN is empty it disapperars.
• If I mark it as Always Close it can be opened.
• If I mark it as "Open in new window (standards mode)"  DTN is closed but can be opened.

This was tested with classic and AFP/standards.

I would recommend to open an incident if it is important in your case.

Did you set this property on the iView/page that you see in content area?

Does it happen for all iViews?

If you have no entries in DTN, does it closes?

Yes I have set the property for each iView/Page under the role. The DTN still appears for all iviews/pages.

If I have no entries, then the DTN closes but it can be opened. It does not go away completely, it is just blank.
