Advice on which HCP package to use

The business need is an app which can access on-premise data, but also has offline storage.

At the moment I'm investigating this with an HCP Trail version with HCC running locally.

What do I need to launch this app into the real-world, multi-user? e.g which HCP package?

Thanks Masa.

I understand that the starter package has no official SAP support, but that still doesn't answer my direct question about using it for production purposes.

Hi Adam,

I believe you have agreed "Terms of Use" when you registered to the developer edition.

Please select the menu Legal Information -> Terms of Use in the SAP HANA Cloud Platform Cockpit.

Hi Masa

That's right I'm using the Free get started package...

Why can't you use it for production?

Hi Adam,

Take a look at https://hcp.sap.com/content/dam/website/skywalker/en_us/PDFs/SAP_HANA_Cloud_Platform_Pricing_and_Pac.... There is no official support for the Get Started Packages. There are also user limitation and functional limitations.

Thanks Masa.

Why is it not possible to do this with the trail package?

Hi Adam,

Probably you are talking about "HCP developer edition" in the "Get Started Package".

If you are talking about "HCP developer edition", mobile service is a prat of the developer edition and you can develop a solution. But you can not use it for productive use.

Take a look at https://hcp.sap.com/content/dam/website/skywalker/en_us/PDFs/SAP_HANA_Cloud_Platform_Pricing_and_Pac...

Hi Adam,

For offline storage, you need a HCPms mobile service on HCP. You can take a landscape A or B.

A. App on HCP -> HCPms on HCP -> OData Provisioning on HCP -> Cloud Connector -> Backend

B. App on HCP -> HCPms on HCP -> Cloud Connector -> Gateway -> Backend

Take a look at these blogs.
