Now i wanted to stop a bw process chain. How could i locate the process chain job in sm37 or cancel this process to run?
Hi Ling,
There can be many ways .. some mentioned below:
for ex.
1) If Process chain run(yellow state) at 'DTP load' step , then right click-> Administrative target->
click on Montior-> and then it opens DTP request monitor step-> click on Job Overview.
2) If it is infopackage then in process chain -> right clik-> process Monitor-> header tab-> select request number -> go to SM37-> add * before and after request number.

Hi Ling,
If you want to cancel the jobs in a process chain, You need to identify the step which is running currently and then get the job id and then go to sm37 and stop the job.
If not get the logpid and then cancel the job in SM51.
If the succeeding jobs are configured like only after successful completion of the current running job then once you kill the current job the process chain would stop itself and changing the status to RED.

Hi ling,
If you want cancel or reschedule your job then go to your process chain start variant-->display all jobs.
it will shows your chain scheduled jobs.
if you see any active job and need to cancel it then you can cancel it.
select your job at SM37 and from menu job-->cancel it.
do multiple times to cancel your job or seek basis help to cancel your job.
Thanks
Hi Ling,
If you want to cancel any job.
You need to double click on the process which is running at that moment.
Right click on the job which is in Yellow(It is running), go to display messages. You will find the job name
Take that job name >>Go to SM37 >>Insert the job name and execute.
To cancel the job From application server:
Click on the job in sm37 >> Go to Job details>> Take Work process number and applicaiton server
Go to SM51 in that applicaiton server in which job is running. On the upper bar >>Click on process and cancel without core (Please select this option only)
