Former Member

Hi All,

We have created a Generic Data Source for COPA Extraction. Now when we are scehdulling the data, we are unable to extract the Data. We have investigated and found out that the Data is only available in CE4 Table.

As COPA extraction depends on the following 4 tables, CE1, CE2, CE3, CE4. The data is available in CE4 table. How to fill other three tables CE1, CE2, CE3.

Hi Jayanth

COPA might not be entirely set up in the system. CE4 table is a basic table for defining the characteristics unique to a prof segment number. this table is like a master data table.

CE1 and CE2 are actual and plan item level data. So check with the functional folks in ur team to see if these tables are being used and data being posted into these tables when a billing document is created.

CE3 are summarized table for value fields. Same might be the case for this table too.

Hi Prakash,

So, according to you, it is not necessary to fill up the CE1, CE2, and CE3 tables?

I heard that there should be some Cycle that should be run and to fill these above tables to retrieve data. Can you provide me information a little bit more elobarately.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi Jayanth

It is necessary for these tables to have data. What I said is that please catch hold of the folks who have configured COPA in the client system. They are responsible for the tables CEXXX tables to be populated, and not the BW consultants!
