Dear All,
Is it possible to exclude required quantity from ATP process?
1. I create a sales order
2. no ATP quantities so the sales order is not confirmed
3. In CO09 I see unconfirmed quantities for the sales order and required quantities for this sales order
4. 2 hours later I have new stocks
5. I create a second sales order
6. But this sales order can't be confirmed since there are required quantities from the
first sales order
The question is : Can I have an ATP process which does not take into consideration
required quantities. So I would like to have the following scenario
1. I create a sales order
2. no ATP quantities so the sales order is not confirmed
3. In CO09 I see unconfirmed quantities for the sales order and i don't see required quantities for this sales order
4. 2 hours later I have new stocks
5. I create a second sales order
6. The second sales order gets confirmed because atp ignores required quantities from the first order
The reason for these two orders is that they belong to two different
location storages, but these storages belong to one MRP area.
I know I can handle different MRP areas but don't want to do that
Best regards,
Koridan
Hi
If your stock is on specific storage location and sales orders are per storage location then do ATP as per SLoc. This means:
1. You create a sales order with plant and storage location "A"
2. no ATP quantities so the sales order is not confirmed
3. You see unconfirmed quantities in CO09
4. 2 hours later I have new stocks on specific storage location let's say "B"
5. You create a second sales order with plant and storage location "B"
6. The second sales order gets confirmed
Try above and let us know if it resolves your issue.

Hi Rahul,
It is not possible since I have only one MRP area assigned to plant.
The problem is that required quantities for the sales order for storage location "A"
have influence on ATP for sales order in storage location "B".
In my scenario there is no problem if the first sales order get confirmed (because
stocks are available).
The problem for me is here
1. sales order / storage location A is not confirmed
2. ATP keeps required quantities for sales order / storage location "A"
3. 2 hours later I have new stocks in storage location B
4 i want to create sales order for storage location "B"
5. but I can't confirm quantities because required quantites for sales order "A"
blocks ATP process
So the solution would be to exclude required quantities from ATP.

Kordian,
In this case change your schedule line category. Example standard has CP where requirement is trf and is valid for ATP. On the other hand you have CN where both are excluded. Try to put CN for sales order which was not confirmed. This will not trf the requirement and is not valid for ATP. When stock arrives it will do confirmation for second order. Thereafter when required you can change the SL category for first sales order.
I hope this helps.

Rahul
You have mentioned that "The reason for these two orders is that they belong to two different location storages, but these storages belong to one MRP area. I know I can handle different MRP areas but don't want to do that"
Why do you think you need different MRP area. In the material master ->MRP4 view (plant/storage location A - level), can you put value 1 in the field SLoc MRP indicator and test?
Regards,
Rahul,
Thank you Rahul. I have used tcode VOV6 and unticked Req./Assembly checkbox.
The results are as you wrote.
Req./Assembly ON:
If no ATP quantities and confirmed in future - CO09 shows confirmed quantities
If no ATP quantities and clicked "continue" during ATP control - CO099 shows required quantities
If ATP quantities - CO09 shows confirmed quantities
Req./Assembly OFF:
If no ATP quantities and confirmed in future - CO09 shows nothing
If no ATP quantities and clicked "continue" during ATP contro - CO09 shows nothing
If ATP quantities - CO09 shows confirmed quantities
I'm just wondering what will be other impacts of this settings on my productive
site.

Kordian
Shiva,
Both storage location need to have ATP control.
But ATP should not block sales orders from opposite storage location
if the reason is "required quantities" from another sales order.
If I would do what you suggest - then I exclude stor. location A from MRP / ATP control.
Am I right?
Best regards,
Kordian
Yes, your understanding is correct.
I again checked your requirement and it looks you can look into the below suggestion,
It looks in t.code OVZ9, the field No.Storage Loc inspection is checked. Can you uncheck and test for your scenario? If you uncheck, then when a storage location is entered at the sales order line item, then the system checks only at the storage location and it will not check in another storage location. By this way, the first sales order will not block the second storage location.
Regards,
Shiva,
Field Storage Loc. in OVZ9 for my ATP is already unchecked.
From my experience it goes like this
1. ATP for sales order 1 (storage location "A") is checked against stock in this
storage. And this is what field you have mentioned in OVZ9 is for.
2. However - if no stocks are available in stor. loc. A then in CO09 we see sales
order quantities as a required quantities (not confirmed)
3. And the problem is that these required quantities from stor. loc A. have
influence on ATP for sales order in storage B
4. This is because in my company we have only one MRP area that is valid
for all storage locations.
5. Since I don't want to create multiple MRP areas (each for every storage
location) - I was looking for a solution in which ATP control does not
considers required quantities.
6. So the new process looks like this (after changing schedule line settings in VOV6)
A) order 1 in stor. loc. A
B) ATP unsufficient. NO required quantities appears in CO09
C) After 2 hours new stocks come from production floor
D) new stocks goes to stor. loc B
E) create sales order 2 for stor. loc. B
F) ATP says we have stocks and I can confirm it.
G) Note, that sales order in stor. loc. A does not block sales order from stor loc B.
It's true that sales order in stor loc A is not confirmed but it also does not generate
required quantities anymore....
H) So i can confirm sales order 2 from storage loc. B

Kordian
