Hello Friends,

When i refresh the import queue i get the below error.

If i add and give full access to Everyone for Trans directory in OS means then it is working fine but there in stms import queue  i can not see all the requests were listed before except  Data files must still be transferred like below

Can you please help me whether i have to add and give full access to Everyone user for Trans directory at os level.

List of users available in security tab for Trans directory is Administrators, SAP_LocalAdmin and SYSTEM one unknown user.

Can you please advise what could be the reason for this issue.

Kindly help me to resolve this issue.

Thanks&Regards,

Farkath C

Hi Farkath:

You should not give access to everyone. Please go through below to understand the permissions for the trans directory.

Preparing the File Systems - Transport Tools (BC-CTS-TLS) - SAP Library

Thanks.

Hi Farkath:

Did you ensure this:

In Windows systems, the subdirectories must have read and write authorizations for the users <SAPSID>ADM and SAPService<SAPSID> for each R/3 System that is part of the transport group.

So if your transport group contains DEV/QA then they should be given access as described in the link.

Also please perform the transport tool check as advised by Cris in above post. That might help you to get some more pointers in regards to the issue.

Thanks.

Hello Mandeep,

As described in above link i have add a permission to SIDADM and SAPserviceSID as full access.

But still i face this issue.

In my case QAS/PRD in a same group and PRD is Domain controller.

And PRD system is a domain system.

Hi Farkath:

Just to confirm that <qa-sid>adm, <prd-sid>adm, SAPService<qa-sid>, SAPService<prd-sid>

have full access to folders under \\dbprd\sapmnt\trans

Also as Cris advised have you tried to perform tp tool check.

stms-> overview->systems-> Choose your QA system -> Menu SAP System -> Check-> transport directory/transport tool

Also are you able to access the trans directory from QA after logging into QA server as <qa-sid>adm

Please share the results.

Thanks

Hello Mandeep,

I can not find qas-sid and sapservice,qa-sid in prd to give full access to trans directory.

Can you please confirm whether we have to add a permissin to qa-sid and sapservice<qa-sid> in Domain controller.

Hi Farkath:

I am assuming that you have a domain installation and in that case you should see DOMAIN users for your qa systems and those users you should be able to add in your prd box.

If that's not the case then you should have local users <qa-sid>adm, SAPService<qa-sid>on your prd box and with same passwords.

Let me know your setup.

Thanks.

Hi Mandeep,

Our Production users PRDADM and SAPservicePRD are in domain but not QA users.

I will check with TI team.

But it was working fine until yesterday, One unknown user is exist in trans directory security tab, could it be the reason?

thanks for your support.

Hello Farkath C,

What do you see when clicking in the yellow "?" sign (inside the "Description" section)?

Have you tried:

STMS->System overview->Select System HRP->Menu->Check->Transport Dir.

STMS->System overview->Select System HRP->Menu->Check->Transport tool

?

Do you have read/write access to the transport directory?

You can also look at the slog file for more details.

Thanks,

Cris
